WarDeck is a companion dashboard for Android Auto that displays your own wardriving statistics from WiGLE and WDGWars, plus location-based alerts about nearby mapped networks. This policy explains what data the app uses and where it goes.
With your permission, WarDeck accesses your device's approximate and precise location while the app is in use (foreground only — never in the background). It uses location to query WiGLE for networks already mapped near you, to draw the map and the "unmapped area / rare density" alerts.
To do this, your current coordinates are sent to the WiGLE API (api.wigle.net) as part of a search request. WarDeck does not store your location, and does not transmit it anywhere other than WiGLE. If you do not grant location permission, the stats screens still work; the map and area alerts are disabled.
If you enter a WiGLE token and/or WDGWars API key, they are stored only on your device (in the app's private storage) and sent only to the respective service to authenticate your requests. They are never sent to us or any third party.
WarDeck fetches your account/game statistics (network counts, rank, score) from WiGLE and WDGWars to display them. This data is shown on the device and is not retained by WarDeck beyond the current session.
When you use those features, requests go to WiGLE and WDGWars. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. WarDeck only sends what's needed to authenticate and retrieve your own data.
Credentials are stored locally until you remove them in the app or uninstall WarDeck. Uninstalling deletes all locally stored data. WarDeck keeps no copy of your data because it has no backend.
WarDeck is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top.
